ahhhh, vacation. i got back last night from a relaxing but exciting vacation to the east coast. some highlights:
watching my youngest niece suck down most of her mom's decaf mocha frappe (start 'em young, i always say).
dinner and delicious ice cream with my old roommate on friday night.
saturday morning at MoMA and a walk down fifth avenue to the new york public library and times square.
more ice cream and a stroll with liesl on a warm manhattan evening.
sunday afternoon at the grounds for sculpture just outside of princeton. yes todd, this is high art:
a day trip to philadelphia to see ben franklin's print shop and museum.
my 2 1/2 year old niece complaining while we waited for our food about how hungry she was and then letting out the biggest laugh i've ever heard when her plate of rice finally came.
playing freeze tag in the backyard with my niece and nephew and realizing that i'd just been outrun by a five year old.
my nephew telling me on the way to the airport that he wished i could stay forever (i do too, kiddo!).
it was the best vacation ever.
