extreme makeover, kiki edition

after a year or so of growing out my hair, i decided to chop it off again (this cycle seems to happen every year or so). here's what it looked like yesterday:

(well, yesterday a few weeks ago. a co-worker took this photo for a thank you card to one of our groups - long story. never mind.)

and here's what it looks like now:

short! it's like thoroughly modern millie told miss dorothy: "cut your hair! let them see how truly abandoned you are!"
well, maybe not abandoned...liberated?
