just in case

(groan - i hate making up these stupid titles.)
all the hip kids are probably going to look at me like the old fart that i am for saying this: i just discovered neko case, and i am in love with her music.
my roommate, being so much cooler than i, has a few of her cds and i decided to borrow them (aka burn them on my computer) because i had heard one of her songs on the radio and really liked it. it took me a few listens to really appreciate case's smoky voice and kind of country-fied sound, but it has really grown on me, and now i'm looking forward to downloading her new album (i bought an ipod last week and already my cd collection has begun collecting dust while my ipod never leaves my side. i have named it steve and refer to it as my other boyfriend).
so there is your requisite musical recommendation for today. go, listen to neko case, and enjoy.
